TEHRAN – Managing Director of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC) said renowned European companies has expressed willingness for cooperation with Iran’s petrochemical sector, ILNA reported.

Pointing to the positive outcomes of the second Iran Petrochemical Value Chain Summit in Paris on April 27, the official said “Several well-known European companies voiced their readiness for cooperation with NPC during the summit.” “Honeywell UOP is seriously looking for a contract to sale their license to Iran,” he said.

Reza Norouz-zadeh, who headed an Iranian delegation attending the Paris Summit, held talks with numerous European officials during the event.

As reported by IRNA, during the event the Vice-President of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (also known as MEDEF) said that French companies are eager to enter Iran’s market despite political complications.

Earlier in April, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said the country’s oil, gas and petrochemical sectors require $200 billion of investments for development in the coming years.

There are currently 63 active petrochemical complexes across the country, of which 22 are based in Bushehr Province southern Iran.
